Martha Eugenia Dill Thompson


Martha Eugenia Dill Thompson, 84, of 123 Thompson Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord December 6, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Pickens County, SC, she was the wife of Mason Thompson and the daughter of the late Henry Twyman and Ruth Jordan Dill. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She was an active member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lidia Sunday School Class. She loved gardening, traveling and needlepoint.

In addition to Mason, her husband of 62 years, she is survived by three sons - David Thompson and wife, Sharon, of Gaffney, SC, Steven Thompson of Spartanburg, SC, and Jeffrey Thompson of Blacksburg, and a special friend, Ron, (aka Paramedic) Four grandchildren - Jeanna Pressley and husband Nathan, Jade Thompson, Lacey Thompson and William Thompson and wife Amanda; two great-grandchildren - Maci Thompson and Abigail Pressley; one nephew - Jordan Dill; and four nieces - Betty Dill Pridemore, Laura Dill Bono, Kasey Dill Carnley and Shannon Dill Sparks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers - James Welton(Jimmy) Dill, Mylnor Alan(Micky) Dill and Hal T. Dill.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 1-2:00 PM, at Mt. Paran Baptist Church. A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM, with Revs. Darrell Revels and Lee Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, they will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels, 403 W. Montgomery St., Gaffney, SC, 29341, or to the charity of one's choice.

Martha Jane Hall
 
Martha Jane Hall, 57, of 426 First Street Blacksburg, SC, passed away December 5, 2016, at her home. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she is the wife of David Hall and a daughter of the late Livingston Lee and Minnie Shelton Ramsey, Sr. She was an active member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church where she sung and played the keyboard. She was also active in school ministry.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brothers - Gil Ramsey, Keith Ramsey, and Scott Ramsey all of the Cherokee Falls Community of  Blacksburg, SC, and Terry Shelton of Kings Mountain, NC; her sister - Penny Callahan of the Cherokee Falls Community of Blacksburg; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by one brother - Livingston Lee Ramsey, Jr.

A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 3:00 PM,at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. At other times, they will be at the home of Keith Ramsey, 461 Count Gravel Road, Blacksburg, SC.

Ruby Mae Whittle

Ruby Mae Whittle, 96, 1476 Blacksburg Highway, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord December 3, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, SC. Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Viola Wisher Mullinax. She was retired from the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening, fishing and canning.

She is survived by her son, Ben Weaver, and her daughter, Nellie Green, both of Blacksburg, SC; five grandchildren - Ronnie, Ricky, Jennifer, David and Lee;  four great-grandchildren - Thomas, Adam, Bryan and Nikki; and three great-great-grandchildren - Kayleigh, Harley and Olivia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings - Minnie Hannon, Carl Mullinax, Grady Mullinax, Forest Mullinax, Roy Mullinax and Clyde "Doc" Mullinax.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-7:30 PM, at White Columns Funeral Service. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 2:30 PM, at White Columns, with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.

.Wanda Karen Fletcher

Wanda Karen Fletcher, 84, of Blacksburg, SC, died November 27, 2016, in Shelby, NC. Born in Dunn, NC, she was the wife of the late Otis Graham and Clarence Fletcher. She was the daughter of the late Birchett and Agnes Faircloth Smith. She was a retired textile employee and was a member of Garden Temple Assembly Of God, Blacksburg, SC, and First Assembly Of God, Durham, NC.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters - Brenda Becker(Michael) of Graham, NC, and Deborah Marshburn(Danny) of Blacksburg, SC; four grandchildren - Chad Marshburn of Germany, Christina Beard of Wake Forest, NC, Joseph Becker of Palm Beach, FL, and Andrew Becker of Monticello, FL; great-grandchildren - Krista, Kayla, R. J,. Jade and Drew; and great-great-grandchildren - Isabella, Tyln, Ian, and one more on the way. In addition to her husbands and parents, she is preceded in death by her son - Otis James Graham, Jr..and one grandson Rodney James Graham.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held November 29, 2016, 11:00 AM, at Garden Temple Assembly of God, Blacksburg, SC, with Rev. Danny Marshburn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A second Celebration Of Life Service will be held at First Assembly Of God, Durham, NC, at a later date. The family will be at their respective homes.

Bonnie Lee Conner Collins

Bonnie Lee Conner Collins, 93, of Blacksburg, went to be with her Lord, her husband, and her only son on Friday, November 18, 2016.

Born in Cleveland County, NC, our Granny was the daughter of Rev. Charles Pickney Conner and Florence Morrison Conner.  Granny’s life-long sweetheart of 54 years, Jack Collins, her son whom she adored, Jackie Leon Collins, and an infant son passed before her and completely broke her heart.  Also, waiting on her in Heaven were 6 sisters, Pearl Bates, Ethel Neal, Eunice Lovelace, Bertha Blalock, Ada Conner, Betty Bolin and 6 brothers Gene Conner, Clyde Conner, Fred Conner, Johnny Conner, Ernest Conner, and Bill Conner.

Granny Collins attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Blacksburg.  Our Granny will always be remembered as the best cook in the entire world.  During her childhood she was allowed to stay inside and cook for her brothers and sisters who worked on their farm.  Granny also worked in a cotton mill in Grover for a short time and worked in the school cafeteria when needed.  Granny will always be remembered for her love of singing gospel hymns, her love of cooking for her big family, and her everlasting unconditional love for her entire family. 

Granny leaves her legacy of love to her 6 Grandchildren, Joshua Taylor Collins and wife Denise, Jill Collins Beam and husband Randy, Janie Collins Allen and husband Chris, Jenny Collins Stroupe and husband Dennis, Joy Collins Thayer and husband Frank, and Julie Collins Atkinson and husband Jerry; 21 Great Grandchildren (who know her as YaYa)- Heather Collins, Hannah Waddell, J.J. Collins, Courtney and Ashley Gore, Kellan Beam, Mollie Dixon, Alice Beam, Janna Roberts, Justin Roberts, Matt Allen, Josh Carter, J.Andrew and Jackson Gore, Josie Stroupe, Lucy and LeeAnne Thayer, Andy, Holden, J.T., and Brooklyn Philbeck; and 11 Great Great Grandchildren- WOW, all of these from one son!  Also, our family’s lifelong friend Bud Killian who has always been so precious to us all.  Granny took with her to Heaven her famous biscuit recipe- which none of us could ever perfect!

A celebration of her wonderful life will be Monday, Nov. 21 at 3p.m. with an hour of visitation beginning at 2p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Blacksburg.  The service will be conducted by Rev. Eddie Bolin, Rev. Vernon Craig, and members of our family.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Mountain View Cemetery in Blacksburg.

The family will be at our Granny’s home, 203 West Pine St., Blacksburg, SC.

Robert Lee Hammett 

Robert Lee Hammett, born January 5, 1926, made the crossing to be with his Lord on November 5, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley.

A native of Gaffney, SC, "Bob" is the son of Davis Hammett and Ava Barrett Hammett. He is predeceased by his sisters - Margaret Cobb of Tampa, FL, Grace Huskey of Blacksburg, SC, and Betty Bragg of Boydton, VA.

As a young man, "Bobby" was fascinated with aviation. He joined the Army Air Corp after high school graduation, serving in Japan, Philipines and Korea. Later, working with Bendix Corporation and NASA, he helped engineer the first satellite and establish satellite tracking stations throughout the world. One of Bob's proudest accomplishment was developing, along with his engineering team, the Low Frequency Noise Amplifier, which made world-wide communications possible.

Bob is the father of two sons, two daughters, and the proud grandfather of a very nice young man, Khai.

The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Spartanburg Regional Heart Care. Also, special thanks to the staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, whose tender caring and family support was a blessed gift. Thank you all.

A graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 2:00 PM,at Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg, SC, with Dr. Dennis Willoughby officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.

Virginia Henderson Richards


Virginia Henderson Richards, 71, of 319 Cherokee Falls Road Blacksburg, SC, passed away  November 1, 2016, at  Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain,  NC.  She was the wife of the late Eugene Richards and daughter of the late Claude and Elizabeth Martin Henderson.  She was a member of Goucher Baptist Church and  was a retired C.N.A.

She is survived by her brothers, Bobby Henderson(Brenda) of Blacksburg, SC, and David Claude Henderson (Renee) of Gastonia, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service was held November 4, 2016, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Revs. Vernon Craig and Tim Osment officiating.  The family will be at their respective homes.

Cecil Parker Davidson

Cecil Parker Davidson, walked into the arms of Jesus on October 16, 2016.  Born February 11, 1936 to the late Cletius and Theresa Peeler Parker, Cecil grew up in Blacksburg, SC.  She resided with her parents and brother, caring for them in their golden years.  Cecil also cared for the welfare of other siblings, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Her selfless giving impacted many lives in her family.  She worked tirelessly at Monsanto and The Timken Company.  She had perfect attendance for all twelve years of school.  She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Cecil is survived by Thelma Ham(Boyd) and Geraldine Martin of Blacksburg, SC, Carolyn Stewart(Fred) of York, SC, and Lewis Parker(Judy) of Benton, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 19, 2016, from 1-2:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church.  The Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM at Hopewell in the Recreational Outreach Center with Rev. Louzalia "Pee Wee" Radica


Louzalia "Pee Wee" Radica, 73, 142 Hicks Road, Grover, NC, went home to be with the Lord, October 7, 2016, at her home. Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the wife of James E. Radica and a daughter of the late Ernest and Carrie Mae Hamrick Millwood. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her pets, gardening, the Christmas season and the mountains.

Surviving in addition to James, her husband of 50 years, are her son - Leonard Ray Campbell of Grover, NC; her daughters - Tammy Lanning of Georgia, Donna Williams of Gaffney, SC, Gwen Radica of Forest City, NC, and Brittany Radica of the home; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister - Betty Millwood of Shelby, NC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter - Sherry Campbell.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at White Columns. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Clingman Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Bobby Hedgepath officiating. At other times, they will be at the home.

Margaret Turner Norman

Margaret Turner Norman, 72, 563 Rock House Road, Blacksburg, SC, died August 3, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  Born in Kings Mountain, NC, she was the wife of the late James Norman and the daughter of Betty Parker Turner of Gaffney and the late Elmer Turner.

She is survived by one son - Edward "Eddie" Norman and wife, Linda, of Blacksburg; two daughters - Kimberly Norman of Blacksburg, and Maxine N. Bush and husband, Curt, of Kings Mountain, NC; grandchildren - Dana Rowe, Nicholas Green, Heather Green, Kristin Freeman, Kyle Freeman, Tiffany Wood, Angelina Rollins and Jordan Self;  thirteen great-grandchild; and two brothers -   David Turner  and Roy Turner both of Blacksburg.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 6-8:00 PM, at White Columns Funeral Service.  A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Sunday, August 7. 2016,  4:00 PM, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.     At other times, they will be at the home.

Mary Priester Dorsey

"The truth will make you free" (Faith Academy motto)

Mary Priester Dorsey, 90, of 406 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord  August 3, 2016.   Mary was born in Bamberg, SC, and was the daughter of the late James Wilson Priester and Susan Hardin Priester. 

Mary graduated from National Bible Institute in New York City.  She met and married John L. Dorsey in 1951.  They left for India in 1952 as Bible Presbyterian missionaries.  Along with five teachers, they established Faith Academy in 1964 as a Bible-based Christian school, which has birthed seven other schools of like origin.  Later a Presbyterian Theological Seminary was established to train local pastors.

Mary served as first principal of Faith Academy.  She later taught and headed up the counseling ministry of the school.  Mary served forty-two years in New Dehli.  Due to her declining health, she returned to Blacksburg in 1991, where she continued her mission work in the community and the Blacksburg ARP Church.  Her love for her family, Christ,  and her desire to share Him with others never diminished.  Mary's ability to seek wisdom from God's Word through the Holy Spirit made her a very wise counselor.  Friends shared, that during her physical struggles,  they would encourage Mary in her circumstances, and would leave strengthened themselves because of her complete trust in Christ.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Dorsey, her parents, and sisters Norma Robinson and Ena Martin.  She is survived by two sisters - Martha Carter of Leesburg, FL, and Sue Ortino of Easley, SC; two brothers - Dr. Robert Priester(Sara) of Cary, NC, and Rev. Bill Priester(Joan) of Fayetteville, GA.

A graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Monday, August 8, 2016, 11:00 AM, at Grover City Cemetery, Grover, NC, with Rev. Jim Klukow officiating.  They will receive friends following the service.  You may view Mary at the funeral home Monday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM.

Luther Grady Herron

Luther Grady Herron passed away January 22, 2016, in Kings Mountain, NC.  He was the husband of the late Irene Herron and son of the late Fred and Annie Herron.

He is survived by one son - Bobby Herron(Starr) of Freeland, MD; one daughter - Lynda Batchler(Clarence) of Blacksburg, SC; brothers - Charly Herron(Vivian) of Kings Mountain, NC, and Curtis Herron(Judy) of Grover, NC; sisters - Jo Ann Ellis and Mary Lee Camp of Oregon and Annette Costner(Jr.) of Kings Mountain, NC; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.   In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by siblings - Harley Herron, Evelyn Spencer and Eloise Stuart.

The  family will receive friends Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 2-2:45 PM, at White Columns Funeral Service, Blacksburg, SC.  A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 3:00 PM, Saturday, at Clingman Memorial Gardens, with Mr. Steve Grigg officiating.  At other times, the family will be at their respective homes. 




Nellie Mae Wylie

Nellie Mae Wylie, 73,  213 Carolina Avenue, Grover, NC, died July 28, 2016, at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain, NC.  Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Nuna Bolin Peterson.  She was retired from Patrick Yarns and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son - Chris Wylie of Grover, NC; one daughter - Krystal Jones of Grover, NC; five grandchildren - Naythun Wylie, Mackie Wylie, Krystal Wylie, Dalton Jones and Joshua Jones all of Grover, NC: one brother - John Lewis Peterson of Kings Creek, SC; and two sisters - Shirley Rudsill of Gastonia, NC, and Hazel Hollins of Blacksburg, SC.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter- Gaynell Wylie and  two sisters - Louise P. Mooore and Thelma P. Nichols.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 31, 2016, from 2-3:00 PM, at White Columns.   A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Earp officiating.  Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.

Livingston Lee Ramsey, Jr.


Livingston Lee Ramsey, Jr., 56, 200 Doolittle Street, Cherokee Falls Community, Blacksburg, SC, died July 3, 2016, surrounded by family.  Born in Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Livingston Lee and Velma Shelton Ramsey, Sr.   He was a carpenter by trade and attended Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship. 

Junior is survived by brothers - Gil Ramsey of Gaffney, SC, Keith Ramsey of Blacksburg, SC, Scott Ramsey of Gaffney, SC, and Brown Clyde Shelton of Kings Mountain, NC; and sisters - Martha R. Hall and Penny R. Callahan both of the Cherokee Falls Community of Blacksburg, SC. 

The family will receive friends July 9, 2016, from 4-5:00 PM, at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship.   A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 PM, with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating.  At other times, the family will be at the home.

Joyce Kiser Pursley

Joyce Kiser Pursley, 78, 227 Glencrest Drive, Gaffney, SC, passed away July 1, 2016, at home.  Born  in Kings Mountain, NC, she is the daughter of the late Rufus Kiser and Ollie Estes Kiser White. 

Left to cherish her memory are two sons - Jamie Pursley of Wilmington, NC, and Anthony Pursley of the home; one daughter - Robin P. Byrnes of Charlotte; and four grandchildren.

Donald Richard Bostic

Donald Richard Bostic, 61, 1019 Lookout Tower Road, died June 25, 2016, at home.  Born in Flint, Michigan, he was the husband of Linda Enger Bostic of the home and a son of the late Grady and Margaret Allen Bostic.  He served in the United States Marine Corp.  Donald was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Hamrick's. 

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two daughters - Dana Gowan and Starlet Barrett both of Blacksburg, SC; two grandchildren - Summer Dellinger and Jordan Foster; two great-grandchildren - Carter Dellinger and Candon Dellinger; and two brothers - Jimmy Bostic of Illinois and Kenneth Bostic of Inman, SC.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son - David Clemmer.

Leo E. Diffenderfer, Jr.

Leo E. Diffenderfer, Jr., 88, 202 Holly Ridge Road, Blacksburg, SC., passed away, June 24, 2016, at Brookdale Skylyn, Spartanburg, SC.  He was born in Pacolet, SC, on May 8, 1928, to Leo and Elizabeth Minor Diffenderfer, Sr.,  Leo moved back to Lee County, VA, with his parents at the age of three.  After serving in the United States Air Force,  he returned to SC where he met his future wife, Janelle Putnam.  They were married April 1, 1951, at Mt. Paran Baptist Church.

Leo spent his life in Blacksburg in the Mt. Paran community.  He was a former deacon at Mt. Paran Baptist Church.  He was a great farmer and raised the perfect garden.  Later he joined the trucking industry as owner of his own truck and spent many years travelling to the West Coast. 

In addition to his wife, Janelle, he is survived by a daughter - Connie Swofford of Boiling Springs, SC;  a son - Roger Dale Diffenderfer of Blacksburg, SC; four grandsons - Jenson Swofford of Summerville, SC, David Swofford of Spartanburg, SC, Cody Diffenderfer and Bryce Diffenderfer both of Blacksburg, SC; and five great-grandchildren - Derrick Farris, Shawn Diffenderfer, Will Swofford,   Claire Swofford and Ben Swofford.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kay Diffenderfer; one sister; and four brothers - Bill, Harold, Elvin and Palmer Diffenderfer.  Elvin and Palmer both gave their life for their country. 

The family will receive friends Monday, June 27, 2016, from 2-3:00 PM, at Mt. Paran Baptist Church.  A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 3:00 PM, with Revs. Larry Law and Lee Coyle officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  At other times, the family will be at the home.

Pallbearers serving are David Swofford, Jenson Swofford, Bryce Diffenderfer, Cody Diffenderfer, Harold Putnam and Richard Rippy.

Thomas Carl Bell

Thomas Carl Bell, 56, 190 Possum Trot Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord, May 31, 2016, at Hospice of Rutherford County, Forest City, NC.  Born in Shelby, NC, he was the husband of Susan Marie Bolin Bell of the home and the son of Shirley Allen Bell of Cleveland County, NC, and the late Thomas Clyde Bell.  He was an associate of Baldor Electric of Cleveland County, NC.  He was a Mason and was of the Baptist faith.  He loved camping and beekeeping.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife and mother are his son - Shane Ramsey and wife, Dana, of Blacksburg, SC; his daughter - Myra Ramsey Morgan and husband, Jimmy, of Blacksburg, SC; five grandchildren - Jake and Bailey Morgan and Ethan, Dillon and Kayla Ramsey, all of Blacksburg, SC; brother - Marvin Bell of Shelby, NC; mother-in-law - Colleen Bolin, brother-in-law - Roddey Bolin, and sister-in-law, Debbie Bolin, all of Sharon, SC; and a niece - Mindy Bell Walters of Shelby, NC. 

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 2-4:00 PM, at White Columns, with a Celebration Of Life Service beginning at 4:00 PM, with Rev. Scott Peterson officiating.  At other times, they will be at the home.

Carley Tracy

Carley Tracy, 93, of Skylyn Place, Spartanburg, SC, passed away May 28, 2016, at Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg, SC.   Born in Bluefield, WVA, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Stephen Henderson and Ola Mae Hamblin Henderson.  She was a retired school teacher with the Barberton, Ohio School District where she taught kindergarten and second grade.  She was an officer with the Kappa Kappa Iota Teacher's Sorority.  She loved to travel, collect antique glass and porcelin, journaling and family history. 

She is survived by one son - Don Henderson Tracy of Banning, CA;  two daughters - Norma Lee Tracy of Canton, OH, and Patricia Tracy Martin of Gaffney, SC; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  In addition ot her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother - Marvin Lee Henderson.

A graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Frederick Memorial Gardens, Gaffney, SC.

Sarah White Moss

Sarah White Moss, 89, of 405 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 29, 2016,  at home.  Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the wife of the late Loyd Victor Moss, Sr., and the daughter of the late Thomas F. White, Sr. and Laura Benton White. She was a member of Cherokee Falls Church Of God(New Beginnings) and was retired from Burlington Industries.

Left to cherish her memory are her son - Loyd Victor Moss, Jr. of Blacksburg, SC.; her daughters - Laura Moss Black, Vicky Moss Richardson and Aubrey Moss Evans all of Blacksburg, SC; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters - Ann White McDaniel of Blacksburg, SC, and Edna White Couch of Gaffney, SC.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Evans; brothers - Dervin White, Clyde White, Gordon White, Thomas White, Sr., and Junior White; and one sister - Emma Jean McDaniel.

A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, with Revs. Lucky Earls and Eddie Bolin officiating.  At other times, the family will be at the home of Loyd Moss, Jr., 351 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC.

Pallbearers serving are Bobby Richardson, Jr., Ethan Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Timothy Moss, Brian Moss, Landon Mertz, and James Gossett.
