Camille Gonzales Zeller

Camille Gonzales Zeller passed away peacefully at home with family on the morning of March 16, 2024. She was originally from Port Sulphur, Louisiana and was the youngest of seven children. She graduated from LSU with a degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy. She met her husband Raymond J Zeller at Mardi Gras. They married and raised their family in Harahan, LA. She spent several years teaching school and later many years in administrative roles. Camille and Ray retired to Blacksburg, SC in 2014. She was a creative woman who enjoyed writing, painting, and making personalized cakes for her loved ones. She was a very kind and loving person who never met a stranger. She was the wife, mom, and grandmother that everyone wanted.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Raymond, children: Heidi Z Girardot (Dave), Lori Zeller, Mark J Zeller (Eve), grandchildren: Danielle Triche, Rachel DeMarco, Patrick Girardot, Joey Girardot, Claire Girardot, Alex Ochoa, Jessica Thomas (Palmer), Richard Makepeace (Cathryn), Mia Guillot, Grey Zeller, Eve Zeller great grandchildren: Kaiden, Colt, Kaia, Royce, Kambrie, Elinor, and Edward. Sister Lila Girouard and sister-in-law Joan Gonzales.

Son in law Danny DeMarco, and daughter in law Jill Heinen and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Preceded in death by her parents Leo Gonzales and Enid Hingle Gonzales, Sisters Betty Buras, May Dees, brothers Donald Gonzales, Bobby Gonzales, and Leighton Gonzales.

We will hold a celebration of life on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Gym 300 Colonial Club Drive, Harahan, LA 70123 from 2-5. We invite friends and family to join us in remembering Camille. This is a casual event with refreshments as this is what she wanted.
